Target Audience Pharmacists, Healthcare Administrators, Information Systems Specialists who are interested in decreasing medication errors through the appropriate use of technology.
Goals & Objectives At the end of this presentation, the participant should be able to
  1. Identify practical approaches to improving the efficiency and safety of the medication use process.
  2. Describe the role of technology in safety and cost.
  3. Explain how a system-wide approach can improve the process in practice.
  4. Discuss automation as it relates to productivity, data retrieval & analysis, and the future of pharmacy
Registration Information:  As of 8/7/02, we must close registration due to capacity.  We are reserving space for a select few participants directly involved in the implementation and integration of technology systems at their institution.  Please email education@sdcpha.com if you would like to be considered for one of these spaces.
An AES certificate for 1.0 hour of accredited continuing education will be awarded the evening of the program for California pharmacists completing the program.  (Note:  AES does not cover other states)
