Tom has been the director at YRMC for 15 years and implemented a significant amount of pharmacy technology. This ranges from  Robotics to Computerized purchasing to TPN and antibiotic monitoring systems. He has significant experience in interface development and system design as an alpha and beta site for several companies. He has been an active board member of AZSHP for 13 years including president in 1997. Tom also was Arizona pharmacist of the year in 1995. He is currently providing palm pilots to the medical staff at YRMC in preparation for on line order entry by MD's and  is a strong supporter of technology in error prevention and system design.

    Prior to moving to Yuma Tom was the Assistant Director of a 392 bed hospital and poison center in Michigan. Tom began his career as a pharmacy technician in 1971 and then became a staff pharmacist and worked at a 177 bed hospital for 7 years after that. He received his B.S. degree from Ferris State University in 1976 , His MPA from Western Michigan University , and completed a pharmacy management fellowship at Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania
