Train
pharmacists
on their role in the San Diego Emergency Disaster Plan and their role in a
Mass Prophylaxis Scenario. |

Objectives |
Upon completion of the program the participant should be able to:

Gain an in depth
understanding and knowledge of the pharmacists role in the San Diego County
Mass Prophylaxis Plan

Motivate attendees in
community support, community service and safety.

Understand the Incident
Command Structure
-
Understand the roles and
methods for drug distribution and patient counseling as it relates to
dealing with large numbers of patients.

Learn about the San Diego
Disaster Service Worker program and have an opportunity to become a
certified DSW.

Attendance limited to healthcare professionals only.

An AES certificate for
a maximum of 2 hours of accredited
continuing education will be awarded to pharmacist and technician
participants. (Note: AES does not automatically cover
other states besides California) |
