Objectives	Review the patho-phyisiology of diabetes and stress hyperglycemia in acute illness. Discuss the optimal use of insulin therapy in the hospitalized patient. Discuss insulin formulary decisions and medication safety. Discuss strategies for optimal glycemic control in parenteral and enteral nutrition patients. Discuss the role of oral hypoglycemic medications in the hospitalized patient. Demostrate the effectiveness of a multidisciplinary team in an inpatient diabetic care initiative (no pharmacist CE will be provided for this event)
