::UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic Project - Pharmacist Volunteers Needed::

The UCSD School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences would like to invite pharmacists from the San Diego community to volunteer in the UCSD Student-run Free Medical Clinic Project. This outreach project provides health services to the underprivileged and working poor. These clinics meet weekly on Monday and Wednesday evenings (at churches downtown and in Pacific Beach), Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings (in an elementary school east of downtown). Pharmacists will precept UCSD and UCSF pharmacy students as well as pre-pharmacy student volunteers in the provision of pharmacy services. The clinics provide a welcoming teaching atmosphere in which pharmacy and medical students provide medical and pharmacy services under the supervision of licensed physicians and pharmacists. Pharmacists are scheduled for one clinic session per month (approx 4 hours per month) on a day or evening convenient to the pharmacist. If you are interested or would like more information, please email Renu Singh, Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSD School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
